Johnny Rocks: Born in Queens New York; Johnny's interests were always in music. He
played three instruments: Trumpet, Piano, Drums. He belonged to Arthur Murrays school
of dance and always made the radio his friend. Johnny Rocks programmed his
own radio show as a College freshman at WWLC Lynchburg, Virginia...he mixed Disco &
Soul. Johnny returned to New York in 1983 where he worked the club scene. In
1988, Johnny was hired to do his first mixshow at WAPE 95.1 FM in Jacksonville, Florida.
Today, some 12 years later; Johnny Rocks Co-Hosted and programmed 2 mixshows on WAPE;
"The Saturday Night Dance Factory" (club music) & "ELATION"
(late night underground)..."The Saturday Night Dance Factory" was the #1 most listened to
show in Jacksonville...Arbitron had the program on Top with a 35 share women 18-34.
In 1997, Johnny Rocks was welcomed aboard "The Beat Of New York" WKTU 103.5
FM...At WKTU 103.5 fm (The Beat Of New York) Johnny mixed the Morning show beats with
Goumba Johnny & Balthazar ...Johnny mixes the Midday Beats with Diane Prior...Johnny
Rocks Guest appears on Sirius & XM Satelite Radio monthly as a guest DJ;
Johnny also is one of the Industry's most sought after Remixer / Producers as
he's turned out Big hits for Cher, Celine Dion & Madonna...
Johnny Rocks spends most of his time in Manhattan and does Club guest spots both in
New York and Florida.
